On Sunday October 19, 2008, St. Joseph's College held a High School Poster Session sponsored by the New York Section of the American Chemical Society. Midwood sent 5 students to the competition and brought home 1 award.
- Santo Abraham
received Honorable Mention for his project "Study of the secretory pathway of phosphoglycerate kinase in cardiomyocytes." He worked with Dr. William J. Chirico of the SUNY Downstate Medical Center Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology.
