2004 New York City Metro Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS)

JSHS invites high school students to conduct an original research investigation in the sciences, engineering, or mathematics, and to participate in a regional or state symposium sponsored by universities or other academic institutions.

  • Lyuba Azbel
    was awarded third place for her project "How Do the Deaf Read? The Paradox of Performing a Phonemic Task without Sound." She worked with Dr. Denis Pelli, Professor of Psychology and Neural Science at New York University.
