2007 High School Poster Session at St. Joseph’s College

On Sunday October 14, 2007, St. Joseph’s College held a High School Poster Session sponsored by the New York Section of the American Chemical Society. Midwood sent 8 students to the competition and brought home 3 awards.

  • Na Xue
    received a First Place award for her project "Distinct Mechanisms of Action of the 1st and 2nd Generation HIV Fusion Inhibitors." She worked with Dr. Shibo Jiang of the New York Blood Center.
  • Janice Lyu
    received Honorable Mention for her project "Asf1 and Rad53 Interaction Site and Function in Response to DNA Damage." She worked with Dr. John Petrini at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
  • Adil Billa
    received Honorable Mention for his project "Molecular Dynamics Study of Electrostatic Dipole Density Influence on the Behavior of Specific Liquid Properties." He worked with Dr. Mark N. Kobrak at Brooklyn College.
